The Speaker of the House
6011 Molesworth Street
Wellington

Dear Mr Locksmith Smith

Kia ora, my name is Calvin  and I was one of the students from Tamaki Intermediate School who visited the Parliament with the rest of the school.

Firstly thank you introducing yourself and for telling us about yourself. It was interesting to know how you grew up, what school you went to and how you eventually became Speaker of the House.I really enjoyed the part when you told us how you were in the National Party and  then being nominated for Speaker of the House. I appreciate be given that opportunity to come and  see you at parliament with the rest of  our school. The thing I learnt about parliament is that  although it is  very difficult but it is worth it because you  earn  a lot of money even though  you don't have many time to spend with your family.

Once again thank you and we all appreciate coming to see you and we all hope to come and see you again at Wellington.

Yours sincerely
Calvin

Caught being good Dad

Dear Mrs Baker

Hi I'm Calvin  and I am 13 years of age.My culture is Maori Niuean.

My dad's name is Davey Shapleski and he is about 1.75 metres tall, his built is stocky, his skin tone is light brown and my dad's hair is short. His current job is at the Manukau City Council working as a Parking Warden. My dad always takes my brothers to their game on Saturdays and also coaches the under 15 which sounds like a lot of things he goes  in one week.He also take my older brothers to the gym after he has finished his work.

The first time I started to play rugby I use to tackle my own team mates.Since then he has supported me and taught me how to to play properly by playing outside of the house at the back lawn with my older brothers. He took us to the Mangere Mountain to keep our fitness level up.When we do something he will give us a very long talk about what we have done and what we should do next time.He has supported me in my attitude at home and support me with my school work.

I really think my dad deserves the prize because he tries his best to put food on the table.

Yours sincerely

 Calvin

London Olympics 2012

The Olympic flag was created by a man named Pierre de Coubertin.

The Olympic motto is swifter, higher and stronger.

The last Olympic gold medals that were made entirely out of gold were awarded in 1912

There was no marathon race in the ancient Olympic Games.

The Summer Olympics were cancelled due to wars in 1916, 1940 and 1944, and the same happened in ancient times too.

Hello my name is Calvin and I am an awesome student at Tamaki Intermediate. My hobbies are rugby league, basketball and playing games. I like going to school because I like hanging around my friends and learning new stuff. I'm so glad that I got my own blog so people can read my writing. When I grow up I want to be a comedian or a rugby league player.

Favourite Subject

My favourite subject is unit studies. I like unit studies because it will give you more knowledge on what you want to know. Some people know it as topic or social studies. Unit studies is the best subject ever.
